Biography
Mr. Awolowo Jones is a Water Supply, Sanitation and environmental economist, Policy, Administrator with 30 years’ experience in water supply and Sanitation Services, demand, revenue, asset analysis, schemes profitability, Socio Economics surveys, and impact assessment, Institution, Policy and Regulation and Project management in Nigeria. He has professional certificates in Procurement, Project Management, and a member of Charter Institute of Personnel Management and Fellow of Institute of Certified Business Consultant in Nigeria and Canada.
Having worked for 25 years and voluntarily retired from the Lagos water corporation, the Biggest Water Supply Agency in Nigeria, conducting economic analysis such as tracking Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), Pay Back Period (PBP) for financial and economic decision making.
He coordinated market viability assessment to determine the financial and economic feasibility of the waterworks, based on the demand and supply data, as well as the tariff, cost, revenue, and customer satisfaction data.
He coordinated Market Based approaches to attract vendors, industries and commercial water users, water and sanitation economic analysis, Net Present Value, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Cost- Effectiveness Analysis, post construction technical support, assessments among others for State Water Agencies, specifically, Small Town Water Schemes and Urban Water Scheme.
He worked with other Utility organizations in and outside Nigeria on demand and supply baseline and endline studies, Customers Care Services for Joburg Water South Africa, WaterAid, EU & USAID supported programmes in Anambra, Lagos, , Adamawa, Bauchi, Cross River, Rivers, Bayesla, Benue Enugu, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and Jigawa States.
He is happily married and bless with Children
